When your PDFs move to your ECM is your call, not ours
Post-Capture Export happens right after Final Capture: the customer takes custody of the authoritative records at the earliest stable point in the lifecycle, while STG continues to provide operational access — search, AI Q&A, viewer — through its SQL layer. It suits customers with strong governance requirements, compliance frameworks demanding early custodial control, or a firm preference that the system of record live in their own infrastructure. Late Export defers the write until later in the lifecycle, typically at Operational Sunset. It is the simpler timing, requires less upfront ECM readiness, and suits customers who would rather not maintain two parallel record locations. The reason the choice exists at all is architectural: because operational access runs off the SQL layer rather than PDF custody, custody timing has no bearing on capability.
